At Quality First Constructions, we take great pride in providing high-quality commercial fit outs for a variety of industries. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with a local skin cancer clinic, Just Skin, to design and outfit their new facility. In this blog, we’ll take a closer look at this project and highlight some of the unique challenges and considerations involved in a medical fit out for a skin cancer clinic.
The Client: Just Skin
Just Skin is a well-established skin cancer clinic expanding its services into the Noosa Shire. They were in need of a facility that could accommodate their growing patient base in Noosa and provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients undergoing skin cancer screenings and treatments. As a medical fit out project, this job required careful attention to detail and adherence to strict regulatory requirements.
The Project: Designing a Functional and Efficient Space
Our team worked closely with the clinic’s management team to develop a comprehensive design plan that would meet their needs and the needs of their patients. Key considerations included patient flow, safety, accessibility, and comfort.
One of the unique challenges of this project was the need to accommodate a variety of medical equipment, including specialised lighting and imaging equipment used in skin cancer screenings and treatments. We worked closely with the clinic’s staff to ensure that the equipment was installed in the most efficient and effective way possible while still maintaining a clean and streamlined look.
Another key consideration was patient privacy. Skin cancer screenings and treatments can be sensitive and personal procedures, and we wanted to ensure that patients felt comfortable and secure throughout their visit. We incorporated features such as private exam rooms, soundproof walls, and soothing colours to create a calming and relaxing environment for patients.
The Result: A Modern and Inviting Space
The end result was a modern and inviting space that met the needs of our client and their patients. The new skin cancer clinic featured a spacious waiting area, private exam rooms, and state-of-the-art medical equipment designed to facilitate optimal patient care.
Our team was proud to have played a role in the creation of this new Just Skin facility, and we are confident that it will serve the clinic’s patients well for many years to come.
At Quality First Constructions, we believe that every commercial fit out project is unique and requires careful consideration and attention to detail. Our recent fit out for this skin cancer clinic was no exception. By working closely with our clients to understand their needs and the needs of their patients, we were able to create a functional and efficient space that prioritises patient care and comfort.
