Tim
Builder/ Director
As the director at Quality First, Tim has an array of qualifications and certifications including a Certificate III in Carpentry, Cert IV in Building & Construction and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management & Leadership. Tim realised he loved being outdoors working and began labouring on friends’ worksites eventually picking up a carpentry apprenticeship, leading him to complete his Certificate IV in Building & Construction and become a licensed builder. Tim loves the satisfaction of being able to look back on a finished project and know that it was his team that made it happen. Tim’s strong communication, organisational and management skills garnered from previous roles has given him a strong work ethic, drive and problem-solving ability which helps his team push through difficult situations. Outside of work, Tim loves to spend time with his wife, three young children, and ridgeback dog. Living in Yaroomba they spend a lot of time at the beach, but also love to go exploring in the hinterland as well and feel incredibly lucky to live in such a beautiful location.
ryan
Building Designer/Draftsperson
Ryan is an accomplished building designer and draftsperson with over seven years of industry experience, complemented by his Diploma of Building Design earned nine years ago. Currently serving as the Lead Designer/Draftsperson at Quality First Constructions, Ryan thrives in the dynamic and ever-evolving world of building design. He is passionate about the endless possibilities within the field and finds great fulfillment in collaborating with clients to bring their dream homes to life—creating spaces that are both functional and aesthetically inspiring.
Known for his approachable and easy-going nature, Ryan excels at putting clients at ease through his empathetic and attentive approach. “I pride myself on my ability to connect with people, understanding their needs and translating them into high-quality designs,” he says. His meticulous attention to detail ensures that tradespeople receive clear, precise, and accurate drawings, while clients benefit from comprehensive plans that vividly illustrate their future homes. Outside of work, Ryan finds balance and inspiration in his personal pursuits. An avid football enthusiast, he enjoys both playing and coaching the sport, which he considers a perfect escape. He also dedicates significant time to his garden, where he embraces the endless creativity and challenges it offers.
JOEL
Estimator
With nearly 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, Joel brings a wealth of expertise as a licensed carpenter and estimator. With 10 years of hands-on carpentry experience as a licensed carpenter and 9 years in estimating and operations management, Joel has honed a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the building process from start to finish. Passionate about improving efficiency in building practices, Joel is dedicated to delivering optimal outcomes for clients through thoughtful site investigation, planning, and precise cost assessments. Whether overseeing budgets or ensuring smooth project execution, Joel is committed to providing the highest standard of work and value at every stage of the project.
TOM
Project Manager
Tom is our Project Manager, liaising with the clients, suppliers and subcontractors. With previous experience in construction and customer service, Tom uses clear and constant communication to liaise with our clients, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the project to keep everyone informed of each step and ensure a smooth and timely finish.
Toms methodical approach and calm demeanour is no coincidence, as he comes from a
strong military background in the UK and brings those qualities to the team as our
Project Manager.
Tom also has extensive experience in the landscaping industry, where hard work and
problem solving is the norm. This enables Tom to transmit these values to our
team of trades, and run projects effectively and efficiently, ensuring the
smooth delivery of our projects to our happy clients.
In his spare time, Tom enjoys time with his family, and the great outdoors taking advantage of all the sunshine and adventures the Sunshine Coast has to offer.
ABBIE
Interior Designer
Abbie is a graduate of Interior Architecture from Queensland University of Technology, bringing a deep passion for both creative and technical design. With a keen eye for detail and a strong foundation in design theory, Abbie thrives in collaborative environments, working closely with clients to transform their visions into functional and aesthetically compelling spaces.
Her expertise spans a wide range of areas, including space planning, concept creation, material selection, and drafting. Abbie’s approach blends innovative design ideas with practical execution, always ensuring that each project is tailored to meet the unique needs and aspirations of the client. Her knowledge extends to the history and theory of design making her well-equipped to bring diverse design concepts to life.
LEAH
Financial Administrator
Leah holds a Business degree and has vast experience across all aspects of finance, marketing, business and administration.
With over 15 years experience in a variety of industries, her strength is a detailed and organised approach to improving business efficiencies by streamlining procedures across the business.
“I really enjoy watching builds come together, in my spare time I used to draw floor plans of my dream house! I ended up buying a house so now I’m a keen home renovator, so I am always keen to see progress on the builds and designs”.
In her spare time, Leah enjoys a G&T by the pool, retail therapy, travel, spending time with friends or at the beach and mountains with her active family.
